Shaw, 19, has been a standout performer in recent weeks after putting in a number of impressive performances during Wednesday’s turnaround in form, grabbing his first senior goal last month in the 2-1 win over Middlesbrough.
But there are worries from Wednesdayites now that they may end up losing the talented midfield man after he entered into the last six months of his contract at Hillsborough – especially given talk of interest from Glasgow.

Shaw, a boyhood Wednesdayite, has spoken previously of his desire to remain at the club, and his current manager, Neil Thompson, speaks very highly of him – but a potential move to a club like Celtic could certainly be tempting.
Sadly, the Owls academy graduate was forced to sit out the FA Cup trip to Goodison Park over the weekend as Wednesday were beaten 3-0 by Everton, and it remains to be seen when he’ll be back in action after his shoulder injury.
Wednesday face Coventry City tomorrow as Championship action returns for ‘Thommo’ and his troops, followed by a home game against Preston North End, and there will be hopes that Shaw could return to the squad at some point over the next week or so.
