The Star had previously reported that the teenager, who only turned 19 earlier this year, was keen on making a permanent switch to Hillsborough as he went in search of regular game time elsewhere, and it’s thought that a club to club agreement had already been reached earlier this month.
Now though, with the 2020/21 season less than 50 days away, The Star understands that the talented midfielder is closing in on finalising his move to South Yorkshire, with a medical believed to be taking place today and personal terms close to being agreed.

Hide AdDele-Bashiru, who came through the youth ranks at City, is highly-rated youngster and fits the ‘young, dynamic and hungry’ profile that Garry Monk has spoken of with regards to freshening up the squad for next season, and would be a welcome addition to his midfield for the campaign ahead.
At this point in time it remains to be seen what sort of transfer agreement is in place between the two clubs, but it’s unlikely to be a big-money deal given the player has now entered into the last 12 months of his contract in Manchester.
Wednesdayites will be excited at the prospect of snapping up a talent who, according to reports, was offered a new long-term deal at City earlier this year, and it could prove to be shrewd business from Monk to get a deal done so early.
