Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool were on the wrong end of a poor VAR decision once again this evening as his side beat Sheffield United 2-1 at Anfield.

The Reds went behind to the Blades when Sander Berge converted from the penalty spot, after Fabinho was adjudged to have fouled Oli McBurnie.

Referee Mike Dean initially gave a free-kick, but the VAR upgraded that decision to a penalty - and Berge made no mistake.

The Premier League champions eventually rallied to win 2-1, with Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota scoring either side of half-time to preserve their long unbeaten run at Anfield.

And Klopp, when asked for his views on the penalty incident, replied simply: "No foul.

"It's now game six of the season and in three of them, we were on the wrong end of decisions.

"We don't want any advantage, we just don't want a disadvantage.

"The penalty gave Sheffield a boost, they couldn't get at us before then with all the quality they have.

"We lost patience, we scored in our best attack and adjusted a few things at half time. we scored the second goal, scored another which I don't know if it's offside or not, and so it stayed open.

"They had their moments but we defended well with a good heart and I'm delighted."
