Two people have been seriously injured in a crash involving two cars and a cement mixer on a South Yorkshire road.

Emergency services were called to Industry Road, Barnsley, at around 1.40pm.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said initial reports were that two people had been 'seriously injured'.

The road is closed from Fish Dam roundabout to West Green Way.
