Two roads in Sheffield have been closed due to crashes, following heavy snow in parts of the city this morning.

Cemetery Road in Sharrow was closed between Sharrow Vale Road and Summerfield Street following a collision, reported by Streets Ahead, which is responsible for maintaining the city’s roads, shortly after 11am.

Stagecoach Supertram said police had blocked Norton Avenue ‘due to an accident’. It said at around 11.45am that purple route trams were diverting to Birley Lane while the road was blocked.

A number of bus services were disrupted by the snow this morning, and Meadowhall has issued an update to shoppers planning to visit today.
