The very best of amateur photography is currently on display in Sheffield Photographic Society's annual exhibition.

The display, in Sheffield Cathedral until Saturday, is the society's 98th annual exhibition.

Thirteen trophies were awarded. Categories included natural history, photo essay, beginners' junior and portrait. The Society Trophy for the Best Print in the Exhibition was won by Rebecca Nex for her photograph White Crockery. Trophies will be presented at the AGM next month.

Judge Ann Miles said of the exhibition: " I very much enjoyed selecting prints for your annual exhibition from the many varied ad excellent submitted images."

The Sheffield group is one of the oldest photographic societies in the country.
