Sheffield burglar who raided two homes in an hour is jailed
Paul James Cooper, of no fixed address, was jailed for four years at Sheffield Crown Court after pleading guilty to two counts of burglary.
On Sunday, April 3 Cooper, aged 34, broke into two separate properties – one in Station Road, Chapeltown, and then another less than an hour later in Cotswold Avenue, Burncross – taking jewellery and other items.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Jonathan Wade said: “Burglary is a horribly intrusive crime that can leave its victims feeling vulnerable and frightened to be in their home.
“I am pleased that Cooper is now behind bars and I hope the swift action taken by police and the courts demonstrates to the public of Sheffield just how committed we are to tackling this crime and bringing offenders to justice.”
