School hols dragging and kids bored? Here's 10 great things to do in South Yorkshire this summer
There's plenty going on for all ages across the region, here's just a few of the highlights....
1. HERD OF SHEFFIELD
The interactive trail of colourful elephant sculptures across Sheffield city centre has proved a huge hit with people of all ages this summer. Download the app or follow the map and see if you can track them all down. Good exercise, fun and totally free.

Hide AdEnjoy the delights of the seaside in Doncaster this summer as sand, funfair rides and much more come to Doncaster town centre from Saturday until September 4. The event in St Sepulchre Gate will also include beach huts, deckchairs, a clown, Punch and Judy and other seaside attractions.3. BIG BUGS
Big Bugs is an amazing new live show that takes you into the land of the creepy crawlies, transporting you across continents to discover the small, the scary, the fascinating and the extraordinary world of the bugs! The 25 minute educational adventure takes place at Yorkshire Wildlife Park every day until August 31. Show times: are 12.30pm and 3.00pm.
4. GO BOUNCE
This huge new state of the art trampoline park has just opened its doors in Doncaster. The Shaw Lane based attraction includes dodgeball, a battle arena, trampolines, climbing wall and much more, as well as a 120-seat restaurant.
5. SHEFFIELD BY THE SEASIDE
Sheffield By The Seaside returns for 2016 bringing all the fun of a trip to the seaside into the heart of the city. There will all your seaside regulars including Punch & Judy, a magician, a DJ, lots of children's characters to meet, Helter Skelter rides, a traditional Boat Swing, paddling in the Peace Garden fountains and (of course) a huge sandpit.
6. AQUA-TEK AT MAGNA

Hide AdThis outdoor water park at Rotherham's Magna museum is always popular. Open daily from noon, Aqua-Tek is an adventure in all things water. Be warned – you’re going to get wet, wet, wet as you spray, mist and squirt your way around!
7. TROPICAL BUTTERFLY HOUSE
The big attraction this summer is the Amazing Animals Summer Holidays Event which runs every day until 4 Septembe from 10am - 5.30pm. Discover the superhero skills of lemurs, meerkats, owls, snakes and more in close up animal encounters every day of the school holidays.
8. CANNON HALL FARM
Barnsley's Cannon Hall Farm is running a series of themed activities which will change each week, meaning no two visits during the summer holidays will be the same. There's character visits, kids entertainment, free craft sessions plus all the usual farm fun like tractor rides, milking demos, sheep and ferret racing and play areas.
9. HANDS ON HISTORY - GARDEN BUG HUNT AT BRODSWORTH HALL
Head for historic Brodsworth Hall near Doncaster and discover the English Heritage property's stunning gardens in all their glory with the big garden bug hunt which is taking place daily until September 4. Can you find all the hall's critters and creepy crawlies?
10. CLIFTON PARK
