Revealed: The loan fee Sheffield Wednesday are demanding for Jordan Rhodes
The Canaries have expressed an interest in borrowing the misfiring striker ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Sources close to the Owls, who kicked off pre-season training this week, say the Championship club are open to letting Rhodes leave on a temporary basis.

As well as Rhodes’ loan fee, another potential stumbling block in any deal is likely to be his salary. The centre forward, a club-record £8m purchase from Middlesbrough, is one of the Owls’ top earners.
Wednesday are keen to trim their wage bill this summer as they look to avoid falling foul of Profitability and Sustainability regulations.
In stark contrast, Norwich are desperate to increase their attacking options after offloading star duo Josh Murphy and James Maddison.

The Scotland international managed a paltry five league goals in 17 starts and 14 substitute appearances last term. His only goal this calendar year came in the Owls’ hard-fought victory at Yorkshire neighbours Hull City.
Rhodes’ goal-scoring touch has deserted him in recent years and he largely provided back-up to Atdhe Nuhiu and Lucas Joao in the final months of the most recent campaign. With Gary Hooper and Steven Fletcher back in training following long injury lay-offs, Rhodes may slip further down in the pecking order at Wednesday.
