A popular Sheffield community pub has been forced to close over drainage problems on Bank Holiday Monday.

In a Facebook post, The Stag Woodhouse apologised to their customers for the sudden closure.

They said: “Sorry we have had to stay closed, as drains completely collapsed and toilets blocked up.”

Earlier on Monday, the Market Street pub said they were looking forward to seeing everyone in anticipation of the Bank Holiday.

It is however not known when they will be returning to business.
