Bus passengers injured in collision at Sheffield hospital after double decker hits overhead obstruction

The collision occurred close to the main entrance to the Chesterman wing and a number of bus passengers were injured when the top of the bus struck part of a roof structure across a road.

Hide AdSouth Yorkshire Police said the driver ‘clearly forgot they were in a double decker bus’.
The force said ‘luckily’ none of the passengers suffered life threatening injuries.
They were treated at the hospital.
Officers called out to the crash scene cordoned off the damaged bus for enquiries to be carried out.
Bus operator Stagecoach has been contacted.
