The Sheffield Mutual Charity Awards aim to support registered charities with a series of cash prizes, valued at £5,000, £1,500 and £1,000.
On the shortlist for 2023 is Lost Chord UK, which was founded more than 20 years ago to provide vital interactive music sessions for people living with dementia in care homes and day centres across the region.

The Lost Chord Choir of Hope is another recent innovation, a bereavement choir especially meaningful to those living with the effects of dementia.
By the end of 2023, Lost Chord UK anticipates exceeding its pre pandemic number of sessions per year, impacting the lives of far more people than ever before.
“We are only able to continue our vital work through the generosity of our supporters, donors, funders and volunteers,” said Lost Chord UK’s chairman of trustees Ben Frith.
