Staff ‘shocked and upset’ as Sheffield medical centre targeted by vandalism during pandemic

Hackenthorpe Medical Centre was targeted over the weekend, with damage caused to the roof.
The incident overnight on Friday into Saturday has been reported to the police and staff at the medical centre are urging local residents to check their CCTV cameras.

Hide AdIn a Facebook post, staff at the centre said: “We are really shocked and extremely upset to have to tell you that the practice has been subject to theft and vandalism over the weekend with considerable damage being caused to the roof of the building.
“The incident took place between Friday evening and Saturday morning.
“This has been reported to the police and we are currently checking CCTV, but if anyone heard or saw anything please let us know.
“Our staff have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, not only at Hackenthorpe but also at Beighton supporting the vaccination programme. It is very upsetting for all staff who are doing their best to keep services going during this very difficult time.

Hide Ad“We will do everything we can to make sure services continue and that disruption is kept to a minimum but please bear with us as there may be some building work taking place during working hours to ensure the building is safe and secure.
