Sarah Holden, aged 28, is scarred for life after her best friend at the time, Shaunna Littlewood, tied her to a bed and repeatedly stabbed her during a drinking session.
Violence flared when the pair, who had been friends for 17 years, ended up Shaunna’s bedroom in her home in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, in July 2017.

Sarah suffered internal bleeding from a stab wound close to her heart as well as a collapsed lung.
Her vocal cords were also damaged in the attack.
Littlewood, who described herself as a ‘monster’ to her legal team during her court case, pleaded guilty to attempted murder, was sentenced to life imprisonment and ordered to serve a minimum of seven years behind bars.
Sarah recalled her ordeal in a new documentary The War on Knife Crime, which Manchester-based documentary maker Louis Harding has shared online to raise awareness of the issue.

“I always thought it was young kids on gangs or drug dealers but when it happened to me it just made me realise that it does not matter where you grew up or where you are from, what race, gender or sexuality you are, if something bad is going to happen, it’s going to happen.
"I will forgive her but never forget because if I hold a grudge against her I’ve constantly got some sort of malice against her and she’s not a part of my life anymore. I’ve moved on, I’m too old to hold grudges.”
