Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard on September 24 how Slava Horvathova, aged 29, of Gerard Road, Rotherham, was being examined after paramedics and police had been called to an address in Rotherham during the coronavirus lockdown where the defendant was found.
Chantel Lowry-Green, prosecuting, said paramedics and police were called to the address where a lot of people were shouting and swearing.

Hide AdMs Lowry-Green added a paramedic had been trying to assess Horvathova and she coughed in his face but that was not believed to have been deliberate.
However, Ms Lowry-Green added: “The paramedic has asked her to stop coughing in his face at which point, he then says, she spat at him.”
The paramedic stated: “Given the current climate I am working in, I’m disgusted and appalled at this lady’s behaviour.
“I would rather have been punched in the face than spat at. I don’t think people realise the risk of infection or disease from spitting.”

Hide AdHorvathova, who has no previous convictions, pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency worker after the incident on April 30.
John Booth, defending, said Horvathova had acted out of character and she is sorry.
He said Horvathova’s mother had been haviing an episode at the address and there were a lot of people and it was very confusing.
Magistrates sentenced Horvathova to a 12-month community order with a 16-week curfew and she was also ordered to pay £250 in compensation.
