Firefighters were deployed to Oughtibridge in the early hours after a Range Rover went up in flames.

Residents said the vehicle involved was parked in a private residential parking area just behind the houses on Poplar Road.

Residents said they were woken up by the sound of the car tyres bursting and then looked outside to see the Range Rover engulfed in flames.

Another car, parked in close proximity, also caught fire.
