Man in court over knifepoint robberies in Sheffield

A man has appeared in court today over two knifepoint robberies in Sheffield.

Pavel Salar, aged 23, of Stradbroke Walk, has been charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of possessing a bladed article.

The charges relate to two knifepoint robberies which happened in the Beaver Hill Road area of Handsworth on April 22 and on a trail near to Richmond Avenue, Handsworth, on May 2.

A dog walker and a jogger both had their phones stolen.

Salar was remanded into custody.
