Man found after Sheffield house fire named as investigation into his death continues

Detectives have now confirmed that Robert Marcin Kostucha whose body was found at a property in Sackville Road, Crookes after the blaze.
Mr Kostucha, 42, was found on the first floor of the property at around 1:30am on Saturday, November 30.

Hide AdA post-mortem examination carried out yesterday ruled that the death of Mr Kostucha, who is from Poland, was undetermined pending further tests.
Detective Chief Inspector Jade Brice, investigating, said: “Mr Kostucha’s family members are being supported by specially trained officers.
“They have asked that their privacy is respected and they are left alone at this incredibly difficult time as they try to come to terms with what has happened.

Hide Ad“Two men, aged 35 and 38-years-old, and two 19-year-old women who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released under investigation.
“Enquiries are ongoing and our officers remain in the area.”
A cordon is still in place on Sackville Road.
Residents living on Sackville Road said they did not know Mr Kostucha, but were saddened to learn of his death.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “Firefighters from Central and Rivelin were called to the incident at 1.46am and found a fire on the first floor of the property.

“Despite their best efforts the casualty was pronounced dead at the scene.
“This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are very much with the man’s family and friends at this sad time.”
Detectives are appealing for information, and ask anyone who may be able to assist with enquiries to get in touch.
