A 50-year-old man is in custody this morning after police flooded a street in Sheffield following a disturbance.

Officers were called to Wincobank Avenue, in Wincobank, yesterday at around 9.15pm to reports of a disturbance, and residents said at least four police cars and a police van attended the scene.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police this morning said: “Police attended the scene and dispersed a group of five people. A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray. He remains in police custody.”
