Firefighters explain how fire engine ended up in garden after head-on crash in Sheffield
A fire engine was involved in a collision with a car on High Street, Mosborough, last night and ended up coming to rest in a garden after hitting a wall.
A lamppost was also damaged.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: “A fire engine from Birley Moor fire station was involved in a road traffic collision with another vehicle.

Hide Ad“It is thought that a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction drove into the path of the fire engine, causing it to leave the road.
“No one was seriously injured and an investigation to find out what happened is under way.”
The road was closed for some time last night for crash scene investigation work to be carried out.
Arrangements also had to be made for the vehicles involved to be recovered from the scene.
