Police have seized hundreds of cannabis plants after raiding a house in a Sheffield village.

Officers went into a house in Ecclesfield on Friday after getting a warrant to search the property from magistrates, and found over 150 plants in the property, being grown with lights and heating in place. They have today published pictures of the plants found.

South Yorkshire Police’s Ecclesfield, Chapeltown, High Green and Grenoside neighbourhood policing team said the raids came as they were continuing to crack down on drugs issues in the Ecclesfield area. They said in a statement: “On Friday, officers executed a drugs warrant in Ecclesfield and seized over 150 cannabis plants and arrested a man in connection with production of cannabis.
