The searches were carried out during the afternoon and into the evening as part of Operation Sidewinder, which officers said was aimed at reducing violent crime fuelled by people mixing illegal drugs and alcohol.
Sheffield South West Neighbourhood Policing Team, which teamed up with officers from the force’s Tactical Support Group for the operation, said: “Studies show that violent behaviour (amongst others) is one of the increased risks by mixing drugs and alcohol.”
