Three homes in Sheffield have been closed after they were linked to anti-social behaviour and drug use.

Police obtained closure orders at court for 2 Preston Street in Sharrow, 10 Frederick Road in Darnall and 198 Lupton Road in Lowedges.

The orders mean that if anyone other than the occupants is found inside those properties they can be arrested and reported to court.

Sheffield South West neighbourhood policing team said the orders had been imposed due the ‘ongoing ASB and drug misuse that was occurring at the addresses’, which officers insisted would be ‘actively monitored’.

“We are committed to tackling these sorts of problems that cause issues for the community,” added the team.

“Having these closure orders in place means we take control back of these properties. If the occupants don't comply with the conditions they can ultimately lose their homes.”
