Armed police were called to a Sheffield estate after reports of a shooting, it is claimed.
Residents claim a man was taken to hospital after he was shot on Butterthwaite Road, Shiregreen, last night.
Reports of the alleged incident are circulating on social media but details have not yet been confirmed by South Yorkshire Police.
Online photographs show a police cordon in place on the street and a number of police cars at the scene.
