5. Kafe Stannington
This cafe is located inside Stannington Park, off Uppergate Road, and is well known for its fabulous cheese on toast. The cafe’s popularity has even seen the owners recently open a second venue at Steelyard Kelham. The park has a playground for children and is a great spot to watch the sunset. From here you can walk out and around Beacon Farm and Ronksley Hall Farm via Riggs High Road to enjoy stunning views.
While not quite a cafe, this ice-cream parlour at Cliffe House Farm, on Hill Top Road uses the farm’s milk and cream to make all their delicious flavours. There are also two dairy-free options. This is a very popular venue during its opening hours not only for its delicious produce, but also for the stunning views that can be enjoyed from the outdoor or indoor seating. You can then walk just over a mile to Damflask Reservoir. Pictured is Eddie Andrew, of Our Cow Molly. Photo: JPI Media
The cafe within Langlands Garden Centre in Loxley is another dog-friendly venue that offers seasonal hot and cold meals. This site is popular with dog-walkers thanks to its surrounding nature. From a lap around the beautiful Damflask Reservoir or even Agden Reservoir for those wanting a longer walk, there is lots to explore here.
This cafe on Chesterfield Road in Woodseats serves delicious sandwiches, homemade baked goods, and the all important coffee. What’s more, it’s just a stone’s throw away from the 248-acre Graves Park. With streams, woodlands, and open grassland, there’s so much for a dog and its owner to explore here. For those with children onboard, there are also two playgrounds. Please note Graves Park Animal Farm does not allow dogs.
