Staff and residents at a South Yorkshire care home have been keeping spirits up during lockdown with fancy dress and themed activities.

Thornhill House, Church Street, Darfield, Barnsley, has been hosting a variety of events including a pyjama party and beach party – and now staff members are appealing for hats and fascinators for residents to enjoy a day at the races day.

Anyone who can help out with accessories for the event is asked to drop them off at the care home.
