Sheffield residents slapped with Covid fines for travelling to Derbyshire to ‘celebrate a birthday’

Officers from Buxton Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said such behaviour was "not acceptable and will not be tolerated."
Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit have also issued a traffic ticket and fines for three individuals for breaching coronavirus rules on the A6 near the same town.

In another separate incident, an intoxicated male was arrested for public order and transported to Chesterfield Custody.
Whilst being transported, he caused damage to the police vehicle.
The police said: "He was further arrested in custody for criminal damage, hate crime and possession of a class B drug.”
