Coronavirus death toll increases by 11 in Sheffield and South Yorkshire

One further patient has die in Sheffield, five in Rotherham and five in Barnsley hospitals the latest NHS data shows.
NHS England figures released on Monday reveal the city’s hospital death toll from the illness now stands at 526 after one death was recorded in the last 24 hours.

Hide AdFive more coronavirus-related deaths were also confirmed in Barnsley, taking the hospital death toll there to 354.
In Rotherham five more deaths were recorded taking the total there to 379.
No new deaths were recorded in Doncaster wehre the total remains at 483.
A further 179 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 44,464.

Hide AdPatients were aged between 40 and 99 years old. All except four (aged 74 to 92 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
Date of death ranges from 5 to 13 December 2020.
