SIG's half year sales receive boost from mainland Europe

Construction materials supplier SIG Plc said revenue rose 8.6 per cent in the first half of the year, after its performance was helped by growth in mainland Europe.

The company, which supplies insulation and roofing products, said on Tuesday that group like-for-like sales rose 2.8 per cent in the six months ended June 30.

Revenue rose to £1.38bn from £1.27bn a year earlier.
