Sales of eggs have risen considerably and supermarket shelves ransacked of flour as Britons retreat into the comfort of making fresh bread and cakes in their own kitchens.
Now a Sheffield bakery is allowing amateur chefs to make some of its classic specialities without the need to hunt down scarce items.

Hide AdThe Depot, which has sites in Neepsend and at city centre food hall Kommune, closed when lockdown came into effect but has just launched ‘make at home’ recipe bundles containing all the necessary ingredients.
The first two bundles gave people the chance to make brioche and bagels – this week the bakery's focus is on its rye tin loaves.
“Our gorgeous rye tin loaves are the base for many a Depot favourite,” the team said. “Perfect topped as an Eggs Florentine, smothered in smashed avocado, or simply a generous lashing of butter and a sprinkle of sea salt. Now it’s your turn to have a go.”
Customers can choose a basic bundle or a brunch option with avocados, eggs and tomatoes.

Deliveries are being made in Sheffield and ‘just outside’ in The Depot’s van, complying with all social distancing and PPE directives. Collections are not available.
“If you live within S11 you may be prompted to pick a delivery date,” The Depot said. “This is a preference, not a guarantee. We’ll try to honour it, can update you individually what day it will be, and will happily leave it in a specified place. We’re working on our website, but are not honouring delivery time windows, due to the volume of orders. Our window is 8am to 5pm.
“Recipe cards are emailed to the address given when ordering, and can also be found on our Instagram highlights.”
