A third man has been charged over the shooting of a 12-year-old boy in Sheffield.

Brandon Bailey, aged 26, of Manor Park Way, Manor Park, Sheffield, has been charged with possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and possession of criminal property.

He was arrested earlier this week over the shooting of a young boy on Northern Avenue, Arbourthorne, in January.

Detectives said he was the innocent victim of a shooting when a gun was fired from a passing car.

Bailey has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court.

Two men – Devon Gregory, 23, of Heeley Green, Heeley and Stephen Dunford, 25, of Fellbrigg Road, Arbourthorne – have previously been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

They are remanded in custody as the police probe into the incident continues.Call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
