The Owls have lined up in a number of different systems and paying styles in the brief period, their derby win at Barnsley inspired by a tactical switch that saw them out-do Barnsley with a more direct style of play then they had previously displayed.
Wednesday boss Darren Moore raised eyebrows with the early substitution of talisman Barry Bannan after Julian Börner was sent off in their defeat to Reading last month, while their commitment to allow players to play from the back has been widely commended and many supporters.

Joint-top scorer Callum Paterson lined-up at right wing-back from the start, a position he played at the outset of his career at Hearts. Kadeem Harris and Liam Palmer, both who have played the role more recently, were left on the bench.
Asked about the switch, stand-in manager Jamie Smith told The Star: “There’s a few players in the squad that we look at as people that can play in different positions.
“Right from the beginning the gaffer looked at that, right from day one when we came in. He doesn’t look to pin somebody down to one position, he likes to see how they can adapt and fill in different positions.
