Barry Bannan’s 85th minute penalty was enough to separate the sides in a scrappy encounter in front of the Sky Sports cameras and the victory extends Wednesday’s unbeaten run to six games. Here’s how our reporter Alex Miller rated each player – do you agree with him?
1. Cameron Dawson - 6
Had little to do throughout. Distribution was good without Fletcher to aim at and seemed to communicate well enough. Picked off a couple of crosses in a crowded box. Photo: George Wood
2. Liam Palmer - 7
As influential going forward as he has been for a long time. Connected cleanly with Bannan's first-half corner and was unlucky to see another effort cleared off the line. Switched to the left with assurance and made a vital goal-line clearance to deny Hunt. Photo: Lewis Storey
3. Dominic Iorfa - 7
His pace got the Owls out of a couple of sticky situations in the first half and he dealt with his switch over to the right-hand side well, offering an offensive threat. Will be interesting to see what the plan is if Fox is out. Photo: Lewis Storey
4. Tom Lees - 8
Assured as ever at the heart of defence, what little he had to deal with he did well. The change of partner at the back made little difference, Lees is in fine form. Faultless. Photo: Steve Ellis
