Still suffering with a knee injury, Massimo Luongo has long been ruled out for the clash at the New York Stadium and beyond and will be a big miss. Liam Shaw (ankle) also remains out of action.
But there is positive news on the progress of key defensive pair Dominic Iorfa (hamstring) and Tom Lees (groin), both of whom could come into the squad having accelerated their recovery.

A pre-match update uploaded to the club website confirmed that they were both back in full training and that they were ‘in contention’ for a place.
Midfield playmaker Izzy Brown is also in contention having recovered from a leg knock.
“There has been more positive news from the training ground with a number of injured players closing in on a return to action,” the report said.
