Huxley spent time with Lee Bullen and the U23s last year and even scored on his first appearance as the club sought to run the rule over him before making a decision on his future.
Well, fast forward a few months and it turns out he did enough to leave his mark, with Wednesday confirming that he has penned a contract at Hillsborough as he looks to take the next step in his career.

“The winger scored on his first appearance for the Owls Under-23s in a 1-0 victory over Cardiff City at Bracken Moor in October. Welcome to Wednesday, Calum!”
Meanwhile, the player said on his official Instagram account, “Delighted to have signed a professional contract with SWFC, appreciate everyone who’s helped me get to this point.”
Huxley, who has spent some of his career as a defender, was brought in as an attacking player by Bullen and Co. and the club’s decision to list him as a winger certainly suggests that they want him to be in and around the goals going forward.
