Bob Hull’s son David was among those supporters who brought a civil money claim against the Owls last year over outstanding money they owed season ticket holders for the final five home games of the 2019/20 campaign.
The season was concluded behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the club offering fans refunds for matches they couldn’t attend.

The Owls did not contest any of the civil money claims The Star has learnt of, meaning they had to pay out even more money in court fees once county court judgements were issued.
“If you thought you had a case you would be absolutely responding – you wouldn’t be burying your head in the sand,” said one supporter at the time.
Like many others in his position, lifelong Wednesdayite David contacted the club several times for an update on his refund.
All of his emails were ignored.

After David brought a civil money claim against the club, they contacted him before the scheduled court date and refunded his money, plus the £35 cost of submitting the claim.
Despite their reservations about Dejphon Chansiri’s ownership of Sheffield Wednesday Bob convinced David to buy a season ticket for the upcoming campaign, which it is hoped will end in promotion.
But when Bob tried to purchase two seats in the Kop stand on June 29, ticket office staff told him it was not possible.

Bob said: “I can’t believe they wouldn’t have the decency just to speak to us, it seems we have been banned.”
In an email to the club, he wrote: “I always thought banning orders were reserved for those fans involved with racial chanting, violence or pitch invasions, something neither of us have ever been guilty of.”
As one source put it, ‘Chansiri has previous on this’.
In December 2017, with the Owls struggling in the Championship, Mr Chansiri offered to refund unhappy season ticket holders ‘with conditions’.

Bob added: “The optimism of last season really paints over the problems going off in the background.
“It’s just terrible.”
Sheffield Wednesday did not respond to The Star’s request for comment.
