Sheffield Wednesday coach, Darryl Flahavan, breaks silence on his Owls exit, Joe Wildsmith and Cameron Dawson were quick to respond

Flahavan was brought in as the club’s new goalkeeper coach at the start of the season as part of Monk’s new-look staff alongside James Beattie and Andrew Hughes.
The 41-year-old, who has worked with Monk on numerous occasions in the past, made a quick impression on the club’s two first choice goalkeeper, Joe Wildsmith and Cameron Dawson, with both speaking very highly of the new addition despite working with him for only a short time.

Hide AdToday, on the same day that Monk issued his statement admitting his disappointment at not being able to see through their project at Hillsborough, his goalkeeper coach also thanked everyone – making special mention of the two shot-stoppers.
Flahavan posted a message on his personal Instagram page saying, “With a heavy heart unfortunately our time at Sheffield Wednesday has come to an end… I would like to thank everyone for making my time there a real pleasure and wish you all the best for the future. With special thanks to these two, Joe Wildsmith and Cameron Dawson. We go again.”
Dawson was quick to comment, adding, “Been a pleasure Flavs!!”
And Wildsmith replied saying, “Top coach but most of all top guy! Sad to see you go so soon! Thanks Flavs!”
