The centre-half has reportedly been of interest to parachute payment-buffered Watford as well as an unnamed Premier League club and with two weeks left in the domestic transfer window, the fear was that his absence was an indication that a move was imminent.
But speaking after Macauley Bonne’s injury-time equaliser prevented Wednesday from recording only their second home win of 2020, Owls boss Garry Monk confirmed reports that Iorfa had suffered an injury late in the week and denied any approach had been forthcoming.

“Dom felt a tightness in his hamstring,” he said. “He’s got a little issue there and it’s nothing too serious, we’re lucky that it’s fallen on this international break and we should be able to get that recovered on the other side of the international break.
“It was late in training on Thursday that he felt the tightness and then on Friday we found out he had a little nick in his hamstring. It shouldn’t be too long so we’ve been lucky with that.”
On speculation around a possible exit for the reigning Wednesday player of the year, Monk said: “I’ve not had anything for any player.
