The Terriers boss, who will arrive back at S6 on Wednesday evening with his side nine points from the danger of relegation, will be hoping to put a nail in the coffin of his Yorkshire rivals’ survival hopes and all but seal their second tier status for another season.
His counterpart, Wednesday boss Darren Moore said he took huge positives out of the Norwich defeat but reiterated the need to grab a morale-boosting first win under his tutelage, in doing so ending a miserable run of seven consecutive defeats.

“It’s another tough challenge,” Moore said on the Huddersfield match-up. “There are no games here that are going to be easy, we’re going to have to go and earn our points. Today was one of those and we see it won’t be any different on Wednesday night.
“We dust ourselves down and go again.
“Everybody here has seen a team go head-to-head with the league leaders, a team that was playing without fear today against the league leaders, a team that was disciplined off the ball. An then when we broke away with the ball we looked dangerous. It’s about building on that.”
While the likes of key man Massimo Luongo and Moses Odubajo are still a way off a return, Moore reported positive news on the progress of Andre Green and Joost van Aken from their injuries. The suggestion was that they were edging closer to contention, but that the Huddersfield clash could come too soon.
