Ravel Morrison to face Sheffield United in Sheffield Wednesday colours?

Morrison, who posted a picture of himself in Owls training kit – albeit with the badge covered up – this week, has been given a chance to impress Darren Moore as Wednesday consider offering a contract to the free agent.
The 28-year-old could sign for the Owls immediately and be available to face Watford if Moore decided that he wanted to take a punt on him, however it’s thought that they’re still weighing that up at present.

Moore explained recently that they’d already opted against signing fellow free agent, Danny Simpson, who has since been linked with Bristol City, and he could well make a decision on Morrison in the coming days.
Wednesday used a host of first team players in their last U23s outing, with the likes of Izzy Brown, Jack Marriott, Elias Kachunga and Matt Penney among those that featured in the 3-1 Coventry City defeat, and the club could be tempted to use it as a keep fit exercise for some other first teamers during the international break.
For Morrison, if he is played, it could be his best opportunity yet to show Moore that he’s deserving of a deal at Hillsborough.
