Sheffield Wednesday: Bannan’s salute to Owls wonder Westwood
Westwood had a mixed afternoon in the Welsh capital, conceding a first-half penalty before producing a string of impressive stops to keep the Bluebirds forward line at bay.
Carlos Carvalhal’s men may have left the Cardiff City Stadium empty-handed had it not been for a spectacular save by Westwood to thwart Craig Noone in the dying minutes.

Hide AdBannan, who is close to agreeing a new contract which will keep him at the Championship club until 2020,said: “We got a bit carried away after it went back to two each. We tried to get on the front foot and win the game.
“Cardiff broke on us and Keiren made a great save. I was right behind the shot and it was going in, but it was an unbelievable save by Keiren, who has been doing that all season. When he has been called upon, he has been brilliant.”
The Scottish midfielder added: “Keiren is a top, top goalkeeper.
“He has played at the highest level before and he brings experience.
“He is a big part of the changing room. When you have got goalkeepers like that they can win you five or six points a season and that’s a big plus.”
