January signing Andre Green, who has played only 97 league minutes for the club having struggled with injury so far, was in excellent form, striking the post before putting the Owls ahead with a curling effort on the stroke of half-time.
Green was not the only senior man to have struck the woodwork, with Elias Kachunga also having done so in the opening half-hour and after Tigers defender Jevon Mills deflected a Ryan Galvin cross into his own net after the hour mark, Kachunga got his goal with 20 minutes to go.

The Dutch defender was making his comeback from an ankle injury sustained in his last comeback effort for the under-23s back in February. He was replaced at half-time by youngster Isaac Rice.

Kadeem Harris had been named in the starting line-up but was replaced at the 11th hour by Charles Hagan, with Luke Cox rising to the bench. The reasons for the late replacement are not yet known.
