and live on Freeview channel 276
The league campaign starts a week later at Cardiff, and with three new faces already through the door in Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Chey Dunkley and Izzy Brown. But it seems the Owls are far from done, having been linked with a raft of players in recent weeks?
But who are those players and what would they offer the Garry Monk revolution? Let’s take a look.

As reported last week, The Star understands a fee has been agreed between Sheffield Wednesday and the receivers in charge of Wigan Athletic’s finances for Josh Windass. Two other clubs have also had bids accepted, though, meaning it’s not as open and shut as some would assume.
Windass enjoyed his loan spell at Hillsborough towards the end of last season, claiming three goals in his nine appearances at a minute-per-goal rate of better than one every other game.
The 26-year-old’s former manager James Beattie is thought to be a big pull and Wednesday are considered front-runners in the race to secure his signature.
Jonathan Leko
Another young, hungry attacker with a point to prove, reports in the national media suggested Wednesday were one of three clubs – the other being Birmingham and Brighton – to have had a £1m bid accepted for the 21-year-old West Brom man.

Dion Sanderson
Another youngster who impressed on loan in the Championship last time out, 20-year-old Wolves defender Dion Sanderson looks set to head out on a season-long loan, with Wednesday named as one of the clubs interested in securing his services.
The defender, who can play as a centre-half or as a wing-back, would provide useful versatility and cover in Monk’s favoured 3-5-2 system.
“It is crazy to look back,” Sanderson said of his 10-match spell on loan at Cardiff last campaign. “I never could have saw it coming but I am very thankful for it. I don’t think there are much better experiences to be part of than a promotion race in your first season away from your club on loan.”

Reports have linked Wednesday with a move for Stoke City defender Liam Lindsay in recent days, with the Potters man out of favour under Michael O’Neill.
The suggestion in the national media is that Lindsay, an imposing six-foot-four centre-half, will be made available on loan. A former Barnsley man, Huddersfield are also said to be interested while reports in Lancashire have suggested Blackburn have pulled out of the race to sign him.
Jacob Murphy
Quite possibly the one Wednesday fans truly want most.
The Newcastle United winger, who spent last season at Hillsborough, is very much on the club’s radar according to Toon boss Steve Bruce. Murphy is being assessed by Bruce at their York training camp and it is clear any move would again be on a season-long loan deal.
Speaking to the North East media Bruce said: “Certainly, he had a really good spell at Sheffield Wednesday last year. They think the world of him. He did very, very well, and would like him back.

“He looks as if he’s developed physically a little bit over the last 12 months or so. We’ll see what he does over the next two or three weeks in particular.”
A number of Championship clubs are expected to rival Wednesday for Murphy’s attention.
Alessio Da Cruz
Yet another one of Wednesday’s loanees last season, forward Da Cruz has been tentatively linked as one of the names on Wednesday’s shortlist as Monk attempts to beef up his roster of strikers.

Frederico Venâncio
It seems you don’t have to be a former Wednesday loanee to be part of their transfer thinking. But it helps.
Defender Venâncio enjoyed part of the 2017/18 season with the Owls and has been linked with a move back to S6 by Yorkshire Live, making 25 appearances and scoring one goal. He quickly became a fan favourite and was linked with a move back to Wednesday much sooner, though a fee couldn’t be agreed.
He is supposedly available for next to nothing as Vitória Guimarães seek to reduce their wage bill, though interest appears to have cooled.

A young Nigerian forward, Adedoyin owns an outstanding goal record in the youth sides at Everton and is on trial with Wednesday’s under-23 side after his release from the Toffees earlier this year.
The Star understands Adedoyin scored two in a friendly last week to impress his Wednesday bosses. He is likely to be an addition for the future.
