The former Doncaster Rovers boss, known for his attractive style of football in his time at the Keepmoat, set his Owls side up in a 4-2-3-1 in a midweek defeat to Rotherham United that saw them dominate much of the game.
But heading into Saturday clash with high-flying Reading, they remain seven points adrift of the safety zone and bottom of the Championship form table with 13 matches remaining.

And it’s a trait he said Wednesday supporters can expect to see going forwards.
“That’s the way I like to play football, on the front foot, creating chances,” Moore said. “The players did that tonight.
“We’ve been here for two days and in terms of the time we have had, there were some wonderful signs there. What we will end up doing once we get working together, the more understanding the player will have as a team.

Asked whether he would be likely to stick with the 4-2-3-1 system he employed against Rotherham, he said: “It’s always a case of looking at the opposition and looking at us in terms of the team and looking at horses for courses, really.
“I just felt that shape was right because I knew what we were coming up against and I felt that we have more effect in terms of trying to break them down and creating chances.
“We did that tonight. They had more problems their end in terms of the angles and the shapes we were pulling. On another evening I feel with the chances we created, we could have scored more than one goal.”
