Iorfa was one of Wednesday’s most consistent performers in the season just gone, putting in a number of big performances as he continues to go from strength to strength in blue and white.
Now, as he and his teammates work hard to get themselves ready for 2020/21, the 25-year-old centre back says that he’s looking forward to having the supporters back at Hillsborough once again whenever it’s safe to do so.

Hide AdSpeaking to The Star about his Player of the Season gong, Iorfa said, “It’s something that really feels good, something that I really appreciate. I think since I signed the fans have been pretty good to me, and I’m really thankful for their support… It’s one of the reasons why – you might have seen on Twitter – that I’ve decided to do a boot giveaway. Just to show my appreciation to the fans because they’ve been really good and behind me.
“To the fans, I want to say thanks for their support. We look forward to seeing them and hearing them cheering again ourselves, and having them back in the foreseeable future. Until then though, stay safe, follow the guidelines, and when it’s safe to do so hopefully we can get Hillsborough rocking again!”
The defender also went on to call the atmosphere ‘unbelievable’ when things are going well, calling Wednesday’s support ‘one of the best in the country, one of the best I’ve seen’ during his chat with The Star, and now he’ll be hoping to kick on even further as he starts the new season as one of the first names on Garry Monk’s teamsheet.
Iorfa pipped Jacob Murphy and Barry Bannan to the PotS award as voted for by fans on the club’s official website in what was his first full season at SWFC.
