The Owls face Cardiff on Saturday afternoon in their first game of the Championship season, so we thought we’d have a look back at the team that beat the Bluebirds 3-0 to secure a spot in the 2016 Play-Offs – it was a good day.
1. Keiren Westwood
Westwood is still a Wednesday player, but hasn't been seen with the first team in months. Was recently sent to train with the U23s and looks to have played his last game for the club. Photo: Stu Forster
2. Jack Hunt
Now 29, Hunt has become a regular at Bristol City since leaving the Owls in 2018, playing over 70 games for the club over the past two seasons. Photo: CameraSport - Alex Dodd
3. Tom Lees
Lees went on to become Wednesday captain but has since handed the armband to Barry Bannan. Started against Walsall in the Owls last game, but is now into the last year of his contract at Hillsborough. Photo: Steve Ellis
4. Glenn Loovens
Loovens was recently appointed as a talent scout at Celtic in Scotland, his former club, after retiring in 2019 halfway through his two-year contract at Sunderland. He's now focusing on his career off the field. Photo: Steve Ellis
