Manchester City were said to be leading the chase to sign him, yet an exclusive report from Gazeta Sporturilor in his home country claims that Sheffield United have submitted a bid for the star striker.
The report says: “FCSB received a written offer of 16 million euros from Sheffield United. If Becali accepts, the move would take place in the summer, now the transfer period in England is closed.
“Florinel Coman has been the best player at FCSB this season, scoring 12 goals in 28 matches in all competitions.”
