Wilder made the comment despite acknowledging the decision to stage international games before the start of the new season, which begins later this month, is complicating efforts to get a number of deals “across the line.”
United have made strengthening their attack a top priority, with talks continuing about bringing Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster to South Yorkshire on loan while Oliver Burke of West Bromwich Albion, Reading’s Yakou Meite and Emmanuel Dennis of Club Brugge also thought to be under consideration.

Hide AdWilder discussed the situation with leading members of his backroom staff on Tuesday - hours before United’s friendly against Derby County - and emerged satisfied that progress is being made.
“We’re spinning plates as usual,” he said. “We had a meeting before Derby, looking at where we’re at.
“Some of the players we are in for are internationals, so I don’t think anything will happen until they come back. But I’m expecting an explosion of new signings next week, hopefully.”
Having unveiled goalkeepers Aaron Ramsdale and Wes Foderingham earlier this summer, Wilder added: “We’re comfortable. We have to bring in bodies to compete.

United, who conclude their warm-up programme with a visit to Preston North End on Friday, are also attempting to bolster their defence and midfield after finishing ninth last term - only a season after being promoted from the Championship.
John Swift, Meite’s team mate at the Madejski Stadium, is a long-standing target together with Matty Cash of Nottingham Forest. Despite appearing destined to join United before their recent training camp in Scotland, the move for Cash now appears to have stalled and it remains to be seen if it can be resurrected.
“The objective is to make sure we’re stronger than before the (transfer) window,” Wilder said. “And I’m sure we will be. We’re in talks with people and there’s plenty of work going on.”
