A first-half of domination was then capped four minutes before the break as Michael Smith doubled his side's lead.
Warne's men, full of the bustle and thunder which they always show when they are at their best, enjoyed a trouble-free half to enjoy a first win in six games.
There was little doubt in their performance that they are still giving everything for their manager.

“He is not feeling pressure any more, but he shouldn't.
“It's easy for me to say because I am part of his backroom staff, but the job he has done at this club over the four years is remarkable, the turnaround in the football club, and sometimes when you are in the thick of it you don't see what is happening.

“I have been a footballer and a football fan and I am well aware of that, we know what industry we are in.
“In my opinion, he is the best man for the job. He is a great manager and he will have a successful career as a manager.
“We showed what we are all about and what the lads think of him as a manager.”
