Fans, family and players react to Talbot departure
The versatile player, who spent seven and a half years with the club and won promotion twice, was among seven players released.

Laurence Maguire tweeted: “All the best @DroobyT_25 moving on after seven years at the club. Going too be missed in the car skool.”
Former Chesterfield stopper Richard O’Donnell, now at Bristol City, tweeted: “@DroobyT_25 you’ve been a credit to the club mate! You’ll not be short of admirers!”
Fan Alwyn Jones said: “He deserves another contract, at least one more year, still a great player, a lot to give.”

Hide AdClub historian Stuart Basson eluded to the Barnsley-born player’s ability to play in a number of positions.
He tweeted: “Sad to see @DroobyT_25 go before he got a game in goal. Played everywhere else in a long CFC career he can be proud of.”
On Facebook Stuart Bates added: “That’s sad about Drew. he has been a great servant of the club and has played very well this year, in my opinion.”
Michael Dysart posted: “Can’t believe Drews has not got a new contract, he always gives 110 per cent, wish the rest of the squad had given as much commitment, he’ll be missed.”
